Our Vision is to disrupt the cycle of human trafficking so that all can live with freedom and dignity. We do this by empowering survivors on their path forward, mobilizing communities to take informed action, and equipping the hospitality industry to identify and report suspected activity
The WAY2WORK is a human trafficking prevention and disruption program developed by the i-5 Freedom Network and Dale Carnegie of Orange County. The seminars are meant to support survivor leaders with professional personal development skills.
What makes this program unique from other survivor seminars is the content and facilitation:
- The content is relevant to any individual looking to improve workplace and relationship skills. It is not a program for survivors. It is a program for people interested in developing stronger skills in the workplace and in all human relations; we have merely closed the audience so that individual experiences can be applied to the program exercises in a safe environment.
- All facilitators of the program are certified Dale Carnegie trainers and maintain robust ISO- 9001 standards. The methodology is unique to the Dale Carnegie approach in that it is not lecture-based but interactive through a variety of creative and intentional exercises and activities
- The courses are available in English and Spanish, are open to men and women, and appropriate for individuals who have experienced labor and sex trafficking.
- A course for teens is also available and intended to build confidence and communication skills The current lineup of courses are derived from the Dale Carnegie product library and selected based on what some of the greatest needs may be. Customization and expansion are always an option and based on the four core themes: Communication, Leadership, Sales, and Presentation skills. At the completion of the seminars, graduates are eligible for professional attire outfits and style consulting and referrals for interviews based on interest, strengths, and availability.
