Hope Against Trafficking

The mission of Hope Against Trafficking is to provide a safe environment offering a restorative home to help adult female survivors of human trafficking Recover, Rebuild, and Restore their lives.  We are a 501c 3 faith-based, non-profit located in SE Michigan, where we provide completely free, a 2-year residential holistic program.  HOPE provides housing and comprehensive services, focused on their spiritual, physical, mental, and economic needs, giving them hope for their futures, and empowering them to thrive maybe for the very first time.  HOPE is centered around a trauma informed, victim-centered approach. This allows for individualized plans, to offer the victims of human trafficking the opportunity to make informed decisions about the support they need to work through the impact of the crime and help them work toward identifying and achieving their personal goals.  Secondly, education and awareness. We believe that education and awareness is one of the major keys in beating human trafficking.  Education and knowledge of trafficking in persons among all members of society are key to defeating human traffickers. We use all means available to raise awareness about the crime, its nature, causes and damage to victims. We speak and educate government agencies, civil society, and private companies.  By teaching community members to identify red flags and outlining steps for reporting the crime, we put thousands of trained eyes on these perpetrators. With training seminars that we hold, doctors, nurses, firefighters, policemen and other frontline professionals can properly identify human trafficking within our streets, hospitals, and schools, becoming an instant task force against trafficking. Through teaching at risk youth how to protect themselves and others from the dangers of a trafficker we create a more informed public. Our role is to bring about awareness. Our mission is to provide a program for lifelong independence and sustainability.

EVENforONE is excited to explore how we can best support the referral aspects of the counter-trafficking fight and will be launching refined services and tools in the future!
Due to this developmental season we'll be temporarily stepping back from case management, for both overcomers and other anti-trafficking organizations. The primary purpose is to take what we’ve been learning so far and improve our support structure and our processes to ensure we’re contributing to effective and sustainable healing outcomes for everyone engaging with our advocacy-based assistance in the future. While we're on this pause, our public database will still remain fully available for use.
This is a public database of resources available in the counter-trafficking fight. We do our best to verify these resources are safe and trustworthy, but EVENforONE assumes no responsibility related to your use of these resources - use at your own risk - and please make the best decisions you can to guard your own safety. As a whole, the anti-trafficking community still has a lot to learn about how to collaborate well for assisting overcomers in a consistently healthy way, and EVENforONE desires to be a positive advocate for that as we learn and grow too.
